Fred, our curator, shows a family some newspaper clippings of the Hindenburg disaster, which took place not too far from the museum back in May of 1937.  This display also includes actual COLOR photography of the disaster, a very rare item to say the least.

Tom, one of our Living History volunteers, talks about some of the equipment that was carried by the 101st Airborne Division in WWII.  Of special interest to visitors was the original silk escape map that was used during the Normandy Invasion on D-Day - June 6, 1944, and the carrier pigeons used for communication (no these are not real ones).

One highlight of the evening for some visitors was our Virtual Radar display. This device uses the transponder signals broadcast by commercial planes, to plot their location on a map...just like a real radar. It's always a crowd pleaser.

Another of our Living History Volunteers.  Jul enlightens visitors on what it was like while he served with the 5th Special Forces in Vietnam in 1968.  Of interest are captured items that belonged to the VC (or Viet Cong) including a flag and some personal equipment.

The museum is home to HUNDREDS of model aircraft.  What kind of plane would you like?  Chances are we have at least one in our collection. These visitors are looking at a case of German aircraft from WWII.

This is the Challenger Education Center's Space Simulator. The Sim is currently being hosted by the Air Victory Museum until the Education Center can be completed at Burlington County Community College.  George (the one in the blue hat) shows interested youngsters "the ropes" of space flight.
